NEW MODERN POOL HOUSE

This modern pool house is located in the Carrollton neighborhood of New Orleans. M2 Studio had worked with the home owner on an additional to the existing single family home a year prior to the discussion of this project. The design for the pool house began with the idea to create a structure that complemented the existing home. The program included an open living and kitchen area that could be used to relax while viewing the new pool. The pool house also included a full bathroom and sleeping loft. The shape of the pool house allows for natural light to enter via the clearstory windows and flood the living space. The folding glass wall allows for the interior to become part of the exterior and spill onto the covered porch down the building-wide steps to the pool deck.
