Associates & Staff

Charles Mouton
Architect | Senior Project Manager

Charles was born and raised in Lafayette, LA. He would enroll into the University of Louisiana at Lafayette to study architecture. Charles, upon graduating from the University, would go on to work for a design build contractor in Lafayette where he would obtain experience in the construction industry, design, as well as experience in one on one client relations. He later would be accepted into the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Graduate School of Architecture to pursue a Master of Architecture Degree. During graduate school he would go on to research the effects of a perpetually changing, fluctuating zeitgeist of society, and the effect this transcribes into the state of architecture. He would go on to write a thesis about this research, upon completion of this thesis he would go on to work for one of his professors at SAFT Architecture, LLC.

Charles moved to the city of New Orleans in 2015 to join the M2 studio architecture design team. He has been an instrumental key component in completing new residential projects, residential renovations, and the design of large commercial projects. Charles’s experience at M2 studio has transcribed into a vast array of professional skills that are elemental to take a project from conceptual design to final completion. He exhibits a steadfast professional work ethic that is crucial throughout the architectural design process. Charles finds the dualistic components, the practical details of  building science and the metaphysical nature, of architecture an innate contributing factor to his passion for the practice of architecture.

Charles spends his leisure time digesting architectural readings, watching movies, as well as painting and exploring conceptual architecture.

Architecture Intern

Chris is on his last lap at LSU as a graduate student in the Masters of Architecture program. Growing up in and around the city of New Orleans, Chris has always been captivated by the city’s distinct architecture and the relationship with its’ residents.

Chris served over a decade in the military as a paratrooper but decided to trade in his parachute for a drafting square after experiencing the architectural vernacular of cultures and people across several continents. In addition to Chris’s love for jumping out of a perfectly good airplane, he is an avid woodworker, film buff and lover of any music with some funk in it.

James Vo
Architecture Project Manager

James is an accomplished project manager with a deep understanding of design principles and a passion for creating innovative and sustainable spaces at M2 Studio. With eight years of experience in the industry, James has developed expertise in a range of architectural styles and techniques, from traditional to classic New Orleans shotgun to modernist, and is well-versed in the latest trends in the field.

James graduated with a degree in Architecture from University of Arkansas. His architectural work is characterized by a focus on functionality, efficiency, and aesthetic appeal. He has a keen eye for detail and an ability to balance the competing demands of form and function, creating spaces that are both beautiful and practical. James is also skilled at both hand drawing and using cutting-edge software and technology to bring his designs to life, from simple hand sketches to 3D modeling and various visualization techniques.

Beyond his work in architecture, James has a passion for dancing that has influenced his approach to design. As a dancer, James has a deep appreciation for the relationship between movement and space, and this has informed his work in architecture. He understands how to create spaces that encourage movement and flow, and uses this knowledge to design spaces that transcend beyond the ordinary, balancing both rhythm and harmony.

You could say she’s a drifter, but she’s more than happy to have the opportunity to help with whatever she can, whenever she can. Graduating from Louisiana State University in 2014 with a Bachelors in Interior Design, she was on the search for a design passionate studio with modern love, progressive ideas, and good vibes. She joined the M2 team in 2016 and hasn’t looked back since. In her free time, you can find her petting strangers dogs, hoarding design inspo, being her friend group’s resident hype woman, dancing (yes, even with no music) or indulging in acts of self-care.

Brooke Loupe

Architecture Intern

Brooke thinks of architecture as having a powerful footprint within the human experience and a direct influence on the ways we move about our environment.

She graduated from LSU with a Bachelors in Architecture and a profound influence from a host of amazing professors. During her studies, she wanted to foster an interdisciplinary way of thinking architecturally by taking philosophy, art, and fabrication courses. This led to her studying abroad in Florence, Italy with a focus in printmaking techniques and art history.

Brooke considers herself a tactile designer by thinking through ideas via model making and hand drawing. She is from New Orleans and has a great love for the city’s culture, history, and atmosphere.

In her free time, Brooke enjoys drawing, painting, and printmaking. One of her lifelong passions is horse care and horseback riding. She loves to read architectural and philosophical texts, as well as fiction that makes commentary on societal themes or the human condition

Rem Koolhaas Neyrey

Mascot for M2 Studio

A native from Oklahoma, Rem Koolhaas Neyrey decided to leave his hometown to live the big city life in New Orleans. His first experience in the Big Easy was none other than the best party of the year - Mardi Gras. Needless to say, he fell in love with the city as soon as his paws touched the ground. As he adjusted to his new life, he found his best friend, Charles Neyrey, who introduced him to the world of architecture.

Charles influence on Koolhaas led him to pursue an education in fashion design, architecture, and the french language. Work hard, play hard became his motto, and he graduated top of his class.

When Koolhaas isn’t working hard on his next design project, he enjoys movies, travel, home tours, construction administration, but most importantly, his love for the Rolling Stones. Oh and Billie Eilish. He also serves as the leading hype man for M2 Studio.
